Frequently Asked Questions About Our Classes:

Do I need to have a FOID card to take the classes?

No, you do not need a FOID card to take the classes.  You will need a FOID card when you apply for your Concealed Carry License.  Devil Dawg Firearms would be happy to provide you will a FOID card application for you to mail in or show you how to apply online.  We will also provide you with the requisites necessary to acquire a Florida Concealed Carry License which includes 25 other states.

Will I need a firearm for the class?

No, you do not need a firearm to take the class.  We have firearms for you to use at the range for that particular portion of the class if you need one.  Just let us know that you will need to borrow a firearm on your registration.  If you do bring your own firearm, please bring your own ammunition.  We recommend that you bring at least 50 rounds or more.  You will also need ear and eye protection as well.  If you do not have any of these items please let the us know as soon as possible.  

I do not need to take the full 16 hour course. Do you offer other courses to meet my needs and what are the prices?

Yes, we offer all different courses for all qualifications.  Please contact us so we can find which course meets your qualifications.  We will then let you know the price and scheduling for that course.  Please see the training qualifications below.

Do you offer private courses and training?

Absolutely, we are here to meet your needs and to make you comfortable with your training. Just contact us we are here to serve you!

 

Does this class provide lunch?

Unfortunately, we do not provide lunch during the class.  There are local places to eat in the area during our lunch break.  You are also welcome to bring your own lunch as well.

I am very nervous about the shooting portion of this course, what happens if I do not pass?

We are here to make you SUCCESSFUL!  If you feel that you need more training, you are welcome to sit in two more classes.  After that,we will discuss private instruction and other options.

Do you offer discounts to wounded warriors or disabled vets?

Yes, we do!  Inquire within.

Do you have other financial options for the courses?

We are willing to work with you on a financial solution.  Please do not hesitate to ask.

I can't make weekend courses.  Do you offer weekday or weeknight courses?

We would love to have more classes upon demand.  Please contact us if you are interested.

Below is a list of training courses acceptable to satisfy the prior training requirements, consistent with Sections 75(g) and (i) of the Act, and the appropriate credit to be applied for each. It is the responsibility of the instructor to verify successful completion of prior training and apply credit as listed. Once this credit is combined with additional training hours provided by the instructor, the approved ILCCF Instructor will certify the 16-hours were met. Approved ILCCF Instructors should inform applicants how much credit they will receive for their prior training and remind them the prior training certificates must be submitted with the ILCCF Training Certificate when they apply. This list will be updated as additional courses are submitted and approved by the Department.

Completed, notarized Curriculum Application (write “Prior Credit” at the top),
? Basic course outline of the training submitted, and
? A letter from another state indicating they recognize the course.
